New Mercedes-AMG coupé's release date

The high-performance automaker Mercedes-AMG just revealed the latest addition to its new ‘43’ vehicle lineup: the GLC 43 4Matic Coupé, a vehicle designed for drivers who want the best out of a sports car.

The unveiling follows the introduction of the latest Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé back in June and the release of the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 in March earlier this year, making the GLC 43 4Matic Coupé the most recent model variation in the crossover series.

The Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz subsidiary provided the details of the GLC 43 4Matic Coupé ahead of its official unveiling on September 28 at the global stage of the Paris Motor Show.

Mercedes maintained a classic design

Regarding design and style, the new family member of the ‘43’ vehicle series by Mercedes-AMG sports the signature look that all of its brothers share.

Ever since its inception back in the 60’s, AMG has been a manufacturer focused on enhancing vehicles to provide the highest performance possible. To do this, AMG places its bet on high-end engineering, top-tier maneuvering and stability, and bold aesthetics.

GLC 43 4Matic Coupé has an exceptional design both in the exterior and interior of the crossover utility vehicle. AMG topped its flagship look with flashy chrome-plated sports elements in the grille, lettering, air intakes, tailpipes, and dynamic trims all over the car’s coupé silhouette.

The interior is no different, as it features aluminum trim highlights across the instrument panel and main fixtures of the vehicle. The black leather steering wheel matches the sports seats made of ARTICO black leather and DINAMICA microfiber. Seatbelts on the new Mercedes-AMG come in scarlet red, a color that matches the stitching details on the seats and wheel.

Specs and estimated price

Under the hood, the latest ‘43’ line vehicle sports a 3.0-liter V6 Biturbo engine, paired with AMG’s signature 4Matic all-wheel drive system and 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission. The 4Matic configuration is centered on torque distribution on the rear at a 31:69 ratio for enhanced sport driving dynamics.

The GLC 43 4Matic Coupé features Mercedes’ Air Body Control air suspension system, integrated with AMG’s Dynamic Select drive mode selector that adjusts the transmission according to the option chosen. ‘Eco,’ ‘Comfort,’ ‘Sport,’ ‘Sport+’, and ‘Individual’ modes are available on the vehicle, with the ‘Sport’ and ‘Sport+’ variations being the most recommended to experience the CUV’s capabilities fully.

There is no official price yet, but taking other vehicles in the ‘43’ series as a reference, drivers can expect a starting price tag above the $50,000 mark for the new crossover.

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupé will hit dealerships near the end of the year, following its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.
