On Monday, Haunts announced Street Fighters V’s August update. The update was released on Capcom’s official blog. The biggest focus of the update was the stricter guidelines for players who disconnect before a match ends.

Capcom will also implement Double Fight Money days with additional features in September. The event will give players an opportunity to increase their earnings in Ranked Matches.

Since Street Fighter 5 was launched, it has had many issues with Rage Quitters. Rage quit is a term used for gamers who leave the match before it’s over when they are losing. For Street Fighter 5’s players, the win is not given unless the other player finishes the fight.

“WE ARE AWARE OF THE RAGE QUITTING ISSUE, AND THIS UPDATE WILL CONTINUE OUR EFFORTS TOWARD RESOLVING IT. WE WILL MAKE A SECOND UPDATE TO THE EXISTING RAGE QUITTING SYSTEM WITH STRICTER GUIDELINES FOR PLAYERS WHO DISCONNECT BEFORE THE MATCH IS OVER,” commented Capcom’s Haunts on the blog.

Haunts added that rage quitters would be penalized by losing League Points.Quitting will have players dropping in the league standings. Further punishments will also in include being locked out of online matching for a determined time.
