Florida-based smartphone company, BLU (Bold Like Us), just released its latest flagship device for the UK market, the Vivo 6. It offers users around the world premium specs at arguably the lowest prices available.

BLU has consistently sought to carve a niche in the budget smartphone market by toying with the limits of performance and quality.

Its smartphones usually sell for a tad less than other affordable brands such as Huawei or HTC while maintaining a good set of internal specs.

The phone is already drawing good reviews from top tech sites as it features a convenient Black Friday price of £184,99. It currently sells for £239,99 So far, there is no release date for the United States, but users can buy it through Amazon UK.

What are the specs?

The phone contains the powerful 6755 Helio P10 processor made by Taiwanese company MediaTek. The octa-core chip reaches 1.8 GHz in a 64-bit architecture. The phone also has 4GB of RAM which means it can manage any app on the market without problems.

The Blue Vivo 6 offers 64GB storage, an expected feature, given its price. MicroSD card integration will give users up to 64GB more, which is not too shabby, but comes short when compared to similar choices.

The Vivo 6 is 97% aluminum, very solid, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and trademark Curved Display in a 5.5″ FHD screen. It has a 1920×1080 resolution with 400ppi which guarantees vivid colors, definition, and good contrast.

Features and camera

The fingerprint sensor is on the front Home button that adds a strong layer of security. The back camera is a 13MP Sony IMX258, and the front camera has a resolution of 8MP.

It comes with a back flash and all the usual HD camera specs, including 1080p video recording at 30fps.

It also sports a Type-C Port at the bottom and a powerful 3,130 mAh battery for up to a full day of regular usage and up to 20 days on standby. It also features fast charging 5V/2A technology, all in a 7.5cm x 15cm x 7mm body, and dual-SIM capability.

In the OS and connectivity department, it sports Android 6.0 Marshmallow, putting it on par with the latest Huawei, HTC, and even Samsung phones.

The Vivo 6 has Bluetooth 4.0 and an HSPA+ network speed of 42Mbps (4G LTE of up to 300Mbps). It works with the following bands for 3G, 900/1900/2100, and B1/3/7/8/20 for 4G LTE FDD.
