ZTE Blade V7 and ZTE Blade V7 Lite went official at the MWC 2016 today. It looks like the company is targeting the younger audience with these two offerings, as they combine fresh looks, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and solid specs at reasonable pricing.

Design

ZTE-Blade-V7-Lite

Both phones feature a full metal body. Overall, build quality of the two devices does look sturdy. Dimensionally, the Blade V7 measures 146 x 72.5 x 7.5 mm (5.75 x 2.85 x 0.30 in), whereas the V7 Lite measures 143.8 x 70 x 7.9 mm (5.66 x 2.76 x 0.31 in).

Blade V7

The ZTE Blade V7 sports a 5.2 inches wide IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (~424 ppi pixel density) and 16M colors.

Underneath the hood, the phone is powered by Mediatek MT6753 Octa-core processor, clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and Mali-T720MP3 GPU. Built-in storage is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB.

Camera wise, the primary shooter, located at the rear, shoots at 13MP and packs geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR. The secondary ‘selfies’ camera, embed on the front, comes with a 5MP sensor.

To accommodate the HD 5.2-inch screen, ZTE has backed the device up with a removable 2,500mAh battery.

The phablet will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box.

Connectivity wise, the device features Wifi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, USB v2.0, along with support for LTE/3G/2G networks.

Camera wise, the primary shooter, located at the rear, shoots at 8MP and packs geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR. The secondary ‘selfies’ camera, embed on the front, comes with an 8MP sensor.

ZTE has not revealed precise pricing info yet, though it did mention that both handsets will retail for sub-$250 and will circulate in selective markets by summer.
