Steam developers announced a Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 upgrade was going to release on November 1st. The patch will correct the many bugs the players have been reporting since the game’s release.
Steam announced the upgrade only after a week of the game’s release, which officially launched last Tuesday, October 25. It has received good reviews from both fans of the franchise and video game critics.
Bandai Namco, the game’s developing studio, announced the upcoming update would be available for PC first, and that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will quickly follow.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 patch 1.01 info
Steam said most of the bugs that are present in the game come from Beta sessions played on the PS4, which means the company knew about these bugs before DB Xenoverse 2’s official release. The statement says the developers tried to fix them in time without success.
With the arrival of patch 1.01, players can expect shorter loading times and a much necessary balance to all characters including Male Majin and the Awaken Power form of the Namekians.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s first patch will also bring lag reduction on the Online Play mode, and a much-needed change to the default settings of the player when looking for an opponent in Quick Match. The article also mentioned other “small” adjustments.
DB Xenoverse 2 had a bumpy start
Developers are currently tracking and working to fix some of the other issues found in the first version of Xenoverse 2. These errors include two missing special characters that players received when they pre-ordered the game on Steam (Goku Black and Future Trunks).
Tweets recently posted by Bandai Namco’s European account (@BandaiNamcoEU) show the company might have already fixed these issue on Steam, prompting players to restart their clients and update the game to receive the downloadable characters.
Controller issues on Steam will be fixed as well, along with a problem regarding the Giant Ki attack on the ‘Depths of Despair’ Expert Mission. Players have also reported errors upon launch and crashes following various circumstances, which will be fixed but not in the upcoming update. Other issues include problems with the English voice-over.
Players have also reported errors upon launch and crashes following various circumstances, but the fans will have to hang in there a little more because the first patch will not fix those problems.
