How much will cost HBO and Cinemax for PS Vue users?
HBO and Cinemax are the new VIP additions to the PlayStation Vue catalog. Sony’s TV service will offer the premium channels in a significant development of the company on its ongoing efforts to build a replacement for cable TV.
The networks will have a cost of $15 each per month on top of the Vue package customers already have. Both will offer linear programming streaming on the PSV. Clients who subscribe to the new offer also gain access to the soon-to-launch HBO Now app for PS3 and PS4.
Subscribers of HBO Now app can download it on the PS4 and PS3 when it launches, while new customers that subscribe to HBO via PlayStation Vue will get access to HBO both on Vue and the Video On Demand app on any device.
When will they release?
HBO and Cinemax for Vue and HBO Now for the PlayStation consoles will launch the coming weeks, ahead of Oct. 2’s premiere of sci-fi thriller series Westworld, starring Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, and Evan Rachel Wood.
“HBO’s award-winning content is a great match for the PlayStation audience, and the addition of HBO and Cinemax builds upon our commitment to bring the best of live and on-demand TV to our users,” said PlayStation Vue chairperson, Dwayne Benfield.
HBO Now is a Netflix-like service for movies and HBO’s series. The subscription costs$14. 99 a month, but the company also offers a one-month free-trail. Most shows are available in the app within 24 hours after they first broadcast on TV.
Westworld counts with a great cast and production staff
The creators and directors of HBO’s upcoming show are two of the three Nolan brothers. Jonathan, writer of “The Dark Knight” trilogy and “Interstellar,” and Lisa Joy, author of “Pushing Daisies” and “Burn Notice” series.
Westworld is a remake of a 1973 movie that was directed by Michael Crichton. The series’s set is a Western-themed park where robotic humanoids live.
HBO released the first trailer revealing only the rising tensions between Dr. Robert Ford (Hopkins) and Dolores Abernathy (Rachel Woods). In typical HBO fashion, suspense, violence, blood, sex and stellar acting are present in the chilling teaser.
However, fans are not getting a real hint of what’s to come in the video. Westworld’s season 1 will have ten episodes.
Winter is coming to PS Vue
HBO has a lot fo amazing series, but there is one that stands out. PS Vue users will be able to watch Game of Thrones season 7 using their gaming consoles. Season 6 left a lot of cliffhangers and presented all the Iron Throne aspirants.
There are rumors saying a very important character is going to return to Game of Thrones in season 7 to develop Samwell’s arch. There is a new Queen on the Iron Throne, and she will face two huge threats coming from the North and West. The cast has said no one is ready for what’s coming on season 7.
The rumors also talk about new characters, and a prominent British actor could join GOT’s cast next season. It seems there is going to be a lot to see, and yet, the directors announced the new season would only have 7 episodes.
