Naughty Dog has released a free update which gives Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End a new multiplayer map called New Devon. Gamers have been calling for more maps and the latest major multiplayer downloadable content (DLC) release gives them just that.

Back in June, Naughty Dog launched its first multiplayer DLC update for Uncharted 4 Multiplayer. Among other features, the Lost Treasures DLC introduced a new map, new weapons, a new Mystical, and the revamped Rank System.

Naughty Dog’s Senior Communications Manager Scott Lowe said via a post on the PlayStation blog that they are continuously gathering player feedback for them to evolve the multiplayer experience.

New Devon map, Relics and more

The free update, known as 1.12, comes with the New Devon DLC and host of other features. It’s been available since August 31.

Inspired by the Uncharted four campaign, the New Devon map in the ruins of an abandoned pirate colony. Lowe describes New Devon as one of the largest maps to-date. It provides wide open exteriors with both elevated standpoints for long-range engagements and tight corridors for close-quarters combat.

Players can now acquire them by completing and winning matches. Plus, new Premium DLC Skins and Pre-Set outfits allow gamers to unlock Premium vanity items at a reduced Relic cost.

And between September 2-16, the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Store will offer discounts from 33% to 62% on all DLC Relic chests. The 1.12 patch also comes with updates to Ranked Team Deathmatch and a new set of rewards for Season 2.

Another update coming this month for Uncharted 4

The Lost Treasures DLC, meanwhile, presented a small map based on some areas from the single-player campaign. Sunken Ruins is a fast-paced map with tight fronts and some hidden water flank routes.

Patch 1.08, just over 1.3GB in size, also brought the Level system and the Rank system with special rewards. Notably, players can now purchase DLC Gameplay Chests with Relics, and use the Path of Indra, the new Mystical for teleporting to any ally.

According to Lowe, Uncharted 4 will receive a further DLC update in September. It will add a new map, game-type, and personalization items.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End picks up several years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The game follows series protagonist Nathan Drake, his older brother Sam and longtime partner Sully. They are looking for the long-lost treasure of infamous pirate Captain Henry Avery.
