Bioware continues to tease Mass Effect Andromeda with the official cinematic reveal trailer that launched on November 7. The showcase features some of its plot but none of its gameplay.
There is little information about the game, and gamers are yet to see combat footage. Eager fans can join the N7 Andromeda Initiative as “recruits” and become first to receive information updates about the title and select offers from Electronic Arts.
The N7 Initiative program prepares the player for what is coming on the new Mass Effect. So far, the training gives information on the new vehicles and some of the new game mechanics. The participants can end up winning a real N7 Helmet.
Mass Effect Andromeda will be the largest game of the Canadian game studio. It will feature a new plot, characters, a new galaxy, new alien races, and improved mechanics, combat and graphics.
ME Andromeda cinematic reveal trailer throws light into the game’s plot
It is not clear whether or not Bioware will show the aftermath of the final battle against the otherworldly Reapers. The ending of Mass Effect 3 was such a turn down the studio apparently decided to ditch it altogether.
Still, it ‘d be good for fans to see what became of the Milky Way and Commander Shepard after the destruction of the Mass Relays, even if it requires Bioware to choose a canon ending for the series (destruction, control, and synergy).
The official cinematic reveal trailer hints the plot will begin before the Reapers invaded Earth. Best guess is that the main characters, the Ryder siblings, will receive a quest to find a new home at the start of the game.
The Andromeda Initiative massive ship will take the characters on a 600 years trip to Andromeda galaxy with the hopes of conquering a new world for humanity.
The protagonist becomes the “Pathfinder” and must unveil the secrets of the universe and face a mysterious alien race.
The official 4K tech video shows some of the gameplay and mechanics
Bioware General Manager Aaryn Flynn released a 4K gameplay footage back in September. The video shows the character looking for signs of water and life across several platforms, with stunning visuals and improved gameplay compared to Mass Effect 3.
There is no combat on the clip, only exploration. However, fans got the new look of Mass Effect’s visuals.
Aside from stunning high resolutions, the game will also offer high dynamic range lighting. This graphical technology provides immersive details, depth of field, richness, and realism.
