On Tuesday, Capcom’s Kellen announced Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice demo. Capcom is also renowned for franchises such as Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, and Street Fighter.
During the demo, the players will play as Phoenix Wright. The Ace Attorney takes the case of Ahlbi Ur’gaid. Ur’gaid is a young monk who also happens to work as a tour guide.
Phoenix Wright’s discovered that there are no lawyers in the Kingdom of Khura’in. Ur’gaid is charged for the crimes of theft of a national treasure and murder. The Kingdom also has a Defense Culpability Act established. The law states that anyone who defends someone accused of a crime will share the same fate as the prosecuted.
The demo featured a piece of the courtroom gameplay. The courtroom gameplay features actions like listening to testimony, using the court record to point out contradictions, and more. Spirit of Justice also presents the ability to press statements for additional information, current evidence, and turn things around to find what actually happened.
The demo also introduced a brand new game mechanic. The Divination Seance is a crucial part of the Seance trials. Royal Priestess Rayfa Padma Khura’in is able to show the last seconds of the victim’s life through Divination Seance. The Divination Seance also shares the victim’s sensations experience in those few moments. The feelings include touch, taste, sight, smell, and hearing.
The Divination Seance will be reflected in the Pool of Souls at the center of the courtroom. The Royal Priestess information is considered and absolute truth.
On the past few days, Capcom’s Kellen has been releasing information about the new characters on Ace Attorney.
The character profile series have already presented eight different characters. The Characters will be appearing on Spirit of Justice. Characters shown in the series include Athena Cykes, Roger Retinz, Apollo Justice, Nahyuta Sahdmadhi, Maya Fey, Ahlbi Ur’gaid, Rayfa Padma Khura’in, and lastly, Phoenix Wright.
Capcom also presented an animated English prolog with the moments preceding the demo’s story. The video is available to watch on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice full version will be launched on September 8th, 2016. The game will cost $29.99 as a digital download through the Nintendo 3Ds shop.
