VMware, Inc. (NASDAQ: VMW) is joining the tech season and imparting knowledge to the public and IT professionals. The U.S edition of the VMworld Conference will feature over one hundred sessions regarding modern business-based virtualization and tools such as Unified Hybrid Cloud, Cloud Management, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Business Mobility, and Network Virtualization.

The Mandalay Bay Hotel and Convention Center in Las Vegas will serve as the central location for the event over the course of five days, starting this Sunday, August 28th, and ending on Thursday, September 1st. Registrations are available at the VMworld official site.

VMware hosted its first global conference in San Diego, California, in 2004. The event is the largest of its nature, focusing on virtualization and cloud computing. Also, a European edition of the conference will follow in Barcelona on October 17th.

What does the VMworld-Con 2016 bring?

This year, the host divided sessions into five formats to serve the attendee’s needs throughout the days. Breakout sessions consist of one-hour presentations given by VMware officials and customers, while panel discussions have over three panelists and a moderator addressing the same product from different approaches.

Group sessions led by VMware Knowledge Experts offer interactive roundtables for deeper insight from colleagues, and Quick Talks would handle non-technical topics by deconstructing traditional business issues into more simple concepts over half-hour sessions.

Agenda

The Conference will start on Sunday at 7:00 am with a series of Hands-On Labs where attendees can have instant access to VMware products without requiring the purchase of equipment or software.

At 8:30 am, a Partner Exchange program will feature over 13 boot camps dedicated to sales associates and technical audiences.

On Monday, the VMvillage will be available, offering participants a space to hang and play games such as pool and badminton, as well as experience two new activities from NVIDIA’s Virtual Reality.

VMware will live-stream both Monday and Tuesday’s general discussions via its official website from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. The company is also addressing “Hot Topics” including computing virtualization, DevOps, networking, and storage.

There is space for entertainment at the VMworld Conference US edition

On Wednesday, a VMworld Customer Appreciation Party will start at 7:30 pm at The Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Full pass holders will engage in virtual racing games, and remote-control car races.

The party will finish with a concert featuring the Grammy-nominated band Fall Out Boy, alongside the California-Based indie duo, Capital Cities as the opening act.
