When does the Alpha test begin?

A new round of epic battles is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in the latest Alpha testing session of ‘For Honor.’ The upcoming action game last opened for Alpha tests back in August, giving players a first taste of the heroes, battle mechanics, weapons, maps, and more.

‘For Honor’ was first announced and presented at E3 back in 2015. The game made waves for its innovative take on 1v1 fighting games, bringing a whole universe based on historical warrior groups in a new fantasy setting where they all clash with for honor.

A new closed Alpha testing session will begin on September 15 and will end on September 18. Players can register to opt for an invitation on the official site. They can invite up to three other people to join them. Ubisoft is at the head of ‘For Honor’ and it will bring the title on February 14, 2017, for players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

‘For Honor’ Alpha test brings new classes, weapons, maps, and battle mechanics

‘For Honor’ has been dubbed as a ‘hack and slash’ game for its simple, yet very appealing premise. Players take on the role of an ancient warrior and fight alongside others in different battlefields to prove themselves worthy of glory.

There are three different factions players can belong to in ‘For Honor’: The Legion for Knights, The Chosen for Samurai and The Warborn for Vikings. Each faction has four different classes each, bringing the total warrior-count to 12 possible characters.

Six classes will be available for the upcoming closed Alpha tests. Kensei, Orochi, Warden, and Raider classes will return as previously seen in other Alpha tests, while the Conqueror and Berserker classes will be two all-new additions for players to try out.

Three game modes will be playable starting September 15 until Sunday. Duel mode is a classic one-vs-one, while Brawl and Dominion modes are 2v2 and 4v4 respectively. Players can test their battle skills on three different maps: Overwatch, River Front, and Citadel Gate.

The Alpha testing for the game will also include a preview of what the progress system in ‘For Honor’ will be like. Players can unlock new abilities, sets of armor, weapons and more as they advance in the game. The final version of the Ubisoft title will include a campaign mode that supports both single and multiplayer.

Registration for future testing sessions is open at the game’s official site. ‘For Honor’ launches on Valentine’s Day 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
