Last Night, Saturday Night Live featured skits about Donald Trump, and the first daughter, Ivanka Trump. Scarlett Johansson was the guest host last night. Johansson .” in a parody commercial for the new fragrance “Complicit”. Alec Baldwin also returned to SNL with its large number of Donald Trump impersonations.
Johansson starred the fake commercial that took a swipe at Brand Ivanka Trump. The skit Ad has all the characteristics of a real fragrance business: Fancy outfits, an elegant ambient, and slow motion. The sketch starts with Johansson entering a glamorous party in a breathtaking even dress.
“A woman like her deserves a fragrance all her own. A scent made just for her. Because she’s beautiful. She’s powerful. She’s complicit..She doesn’t crave the spotlight, but we see her. Oh, how we see her,” says the narrator. During the narration, Johansson is applying a lipstick and there is a reflect of Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump mimicking the scene. The mock ad ends with the narrator saying: “Complicit: The fragrance for the woman who could stop all of this but won’t,”
Ivanka Trump played a significant role during the presidential campaign. She often played a surrogate for her father.
When Donald Trump won the elections, she stepped away from the executive’s roles at Brand Ivanka Trump as she moved to Washington DC. Her husband, Jared Kushner, is working closely with the Trump administration advocating for issues like the new child care policies.
Baldwin appeared on SNL after telling “Extra” that he was ending his Donald Trump impersonation
Alec Baldwin was featured in SNL last night. Even though Baldwin told a tabloid TV show last week that he was probably done with his impersonation he had his sketch. During his skit, he played President Trump during an Alien invasion from outer space.
His plan during the sketch is to bring as much coal as possible, referring to Trump’s energy solution. Kenan Thompson played a commander during the sketch. Thompson informed Baldwin’s Trump that everyone in California had been killed by the aliens. Baldwin asks if even Arnold (Schwarzenegger) was killed.
Last night show was much better than last weeks.
All in all, SNL was much better than last weekend episode. The show also featured a sketch about the Denver morning demonstrates that accidentally identifies a Denver zoo photographer as a pornographer. The Weekend Update was solid.
Another sketch about Shud the mermaid came after the Weekend Update, and Leslie Jones was playing an incompetent Ninja Warrior. The show closed with a “Dog translator” sketch. The last SNL sketch featured a device that translates dog’s thoughts to English. The twist on the sketch was the dog having pro-trump thoughts.
