Samsung decided to follow an aggressive policy towards Apple and iPhone owners. The company wants to offer those Galaxy smartphones for testing.
After the presentation of Samsung’s two new flagships, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, the Korean company decided to try and make iPhone owners change their smartphone, by offering them a free 30 days trial.
In fact, during this period, all iPhone owners that will take on their hands Samsung’s latest models, they will have limitless capacity available on the smartphone, in order to see all of the smartphone’s web capabilities. There are no restrictions mentioned concerning the SIM card carrier. The whole procedure can be done through promo.samsungpromotions.com. The company calls this the “Ultimate Test Drive” and there are some extra offers coming from either Samsung or other carriers such as T- Mobile. With the purchase of one of the newest smartphones, one can get Netflix, or get the SUHD GS6 bundle offer.
Samsung has not given any information to the public yet, regarding the number of iPhone users that are expected to respond, or have responded already, while the promotional move applies only to the United States. It is estimated that this policy was taken after Samsung witnessed a slight decrease on its market share by 4%, during the second quarter of 2015, according to Gartner. What is left from now on, is to see whether Samsung’s bold move will manage to get the Korean company the profit it is looking for.
This will probably draw Apple’s attention so we definitely can expect to see an answer pretty soon. Nothing new of course, those two companies are arch enemies for too many years now, and there is always lots of interest in watching them battle. So stay tuned for Apple’s comeback.
