Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update release date scheduled for February

Android fans are always impatient for the latest flavor of software for their smartphones. However, while competitors such as HTC and LG have been enjoying the update of their phones one after another, Samsung is still waiting. The flagship Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge+ have still not received the Marshmallow update.

At this point, we have to mention that a leaked roadmap claims to show when Samsung fans will get Android 6.0. According to the leaked email, Android 6.0 will land for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 in February. The Galaxy S5 is going to get the update in March or April, while Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 owners will receive Marshmallow in February or March. Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 will be the first to get the Marshmallow update in February.

Then the update would be rolled out for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in sometime between February to March. The Galaxy S5, Note 4, and Note Edge will be getting the Android 6.0 update in around March to April. Though, there are some bad news for the owners of older Galaxy models, as it seems that S4 and older will not be eligible for the Marshmallow update.

Nevertheless, we won’t take this leaked image as gospel, as we don’t know how valid the leaked image is. We just have to make a logical guess using the information provided. First of all, the Android Marshmallow beta testing for some of the devices has already been initiated, and the February-March-April release date appears to be quite rational and feasible. The truth is that we are almost at the end of January, and February isn’t far, so we don’t have to wait much longer.
