The North American International Auto Show will open its doors on Jan 8, 2017. The show takes place in Detroit where the future mobility innovations are showcased.
It is the largest gathering of the top automotive and tech executives, designers, engineers and thought leaders and it serves as a global stage for companies from all over the world to debut brand defining vehicles and industry-shaping announcements.
NAIAS, one of the largest auto expositions in the world, counts with more than 5000 journalists from 60 different countries who will be covering the massive event where the latest and greatest achievements of the automobile industry will be deployed. It takes place at Cobo Center in Detroit Michigan, and it will count with six individual shows in one.
The NAIAS 2017 kicks off today
Firstly on Jan 7 The Gallery will be opening the event that will be hosted at MGM Grand Detroit. At this event, the renowned chef Wolfgang Puck will serve a strolling dinner at the Ignite Lounge.
Guests will have the opportunity to stroll through the MGM Grand Ballroom where a $7 million collection of the most amazing cars in the world will be exhibited on that first day.
This collection includes brands such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, Aston Martin, Porsche, and Rolls Royce. Executives and designers of these brands will be available to discuss anything related to the brand they represent.
NAIAS 2017 press days
Starting on Jan 8-12 the event will be presenting AutoMobili-D, which is a dedicated exposition focused on the evolving global automobile and mobility landscape. It will feature more than 100 companies, including automakers, suppliers, and tech startups.
The Press Review will run from Jan 9 -10 where automakers and tier one suppliers will be revealing new things, releases and memorable moments during two full days. Admission for the general public will not be allowed at this event, as NAIAS-issued media credentials are required for admittance.
Detroit Auto Show 2017 dates for the public
INDUSTRY PREVIEW – JANUARY 11-12. In this category, people will share with over 35,000 automotive professionals and analysts from around 2,000 different companies.
On Jan 11, it will start at 12-9 p.m and on Jan 12 from 7 a.m to 8 p.m. Tickets have a cost of $110 per person
CHARITY PREVIEW – JANUARY 13, 2017. This category is one of the biggest charitable fundraising events in the U.S.
It helps children from southeastern Michigan. This event has raised more than 106 million in total since its creation in 1976. Tickets cost $400 per person, $390 of which is tax deductible.
PUBLIC SHOW – JANUARY 14-22, 2017. The final category where public will be admitted to see up-close the cars and technologies that will be the future of automobiles.
It ranges from electric vehicles to high-performance supercars and trucks. The tickets are the most affordable of the event being $13 per person. $7 for seniors and children with a parent or guardian.
