Moto G Play gets Prime treatment on Amazon

Motorola enjoyed a lot of media coverage for the release of their G family of products, among these devices the Moto G Play holds the spotlight as many believed that the 5 inches line of product was officially retired. This new device provided users with the classic screen size at an affordable price but now Amazon makes it even more attractive.

The G family has been present since early 2012 and have gained yearly updates up to the Moto G3. In June, Motorola announced their newest additions to the G lineup, the Moto G4 and Moto G4 plus would be shortly launched would feature a smaller 4 inches screen.

This left many customers confused as they felt that the essential character of the G family was being removed for higher end appearance.

The Surprise follow-up

Hours later Motorola used their same twitter account to follow-up this announcement with another one that would change the spotlight from those two devices to the Moto G-Play.

This one will remain truthful the 5 inches screen while also boosting it to 5.5 1080 display one with a serious processor upgrade to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, proving it to be a significant competitor in the high-end market of smartphones.

These three new devices will provide different choices for customers worldwide as they will feature storage capacity varying from 16 to 64 GB and different ram processors going from 2 to 4. Also, the primary camera will range from 8 megapixels to a surprising 16 megapixels one.

These models will also feature a new battery optimization system that will allow even more hours of enjoyment for users. Unfortunately due to the cost optimization process the Moto G Play will only come with the lesser of these features to ensure an affordable price for everyone.

Moto G Play goes even cheaper on Amazon

When this device was released, it held a surprisingly reasonable price of $150 on most retailers in the United States. Recently, Amazon announced they would feature a new selection of smartphones to enjoy their Prime discount for loyal members bringing the Moto G Play back in the spotlight.

The new price tag for this smartphone is located in $100, but there is a catch to it, it will feature irremovable advertisements on its lock screen. So, this could be a good time to pick up this cheap yet remarkable cellphone with some strings attached.
