Kurdish YPG millitia has been making progress advancing towards Raqqa (Syria) with the backing of US airstrikes. Bear also in mind that the Saudi Arabia airforce has been also operating in the region hitting mainly Yemeni targets (Houthi illegaly-established government) but also IS (or ISIS or ISIL or Daesh or…) when approximately a month ago Saudi Forces captured an IS cell in Yemen. From this point of view, we could easily claim that US is not the only force backing Kurds but Saudi Arabia as well (in a more informal way).
