Lenovo Group LTD (NASDAQ: LVGY) introduced a new high-performance 2-in-1 laptop suitable for both gaming and professional work. The Lenovo Miix has the power and the advantages of a top-notch hybrid and stands as an alternative to Microsoft’s Surface Pro.
Miix 510 features a premium stainless aluminum one-piece body. The detachable 2-in-1 easy transitions from tablet to laptop will allow the owners to take it anywhere they want. The hinges permit to adjust the screen up to 150 degrees to help find the perfect angle.
The laptop comes with the latest update of Windows 10 Pro, and the best features of Microsoft’s OS work vest with Miix’s specs. It features an expanded start menu, the all-new Edge web browser and a personal digital assistant, Cortana.
Miix’s powerhouse
The processor is a 6th Gen Intel Core i7, with 1 TB storage memory and up to 1 TB PCle SSD while Ram memory is up to 8GB LPDDR4. An integrated Intel HD 520 graphics handles the visuals. The laptop should run 2015 and 2016 games in medium and small settings.
The battery can last up to 8 hours of video playback or web navigation.
Miix 510 also boasts a 12.2-inches screen with full HD resolution (1920X1200). Dimensions are 11.8’’ wide, 8.1’’ depth and 0.4’’ height for the tablet; and 11.8’’ X 8.1’’ X 0.6’’ with the keyboard.
The 2-in-1 has a rear-facing 5 MP camera and is ready to video-calls with a 2 MP HD webcam, and a dual array of mics with noise cancellation technology.
The laptop comes with four ports: a USB 3.0 Type-C; USB 3.0; Micro SIM; and audio jacks for headphones and sound speakers. More so, the laptop is packed with Dolby stereo speakers.
The device comes in platinum silver or ebony black.
All the features of a tablet and a laptop in one hybrid
The fast performance makes an easy everyday task as editing and creating documents and photos, render HD videos and play.
Plus, it packs all of the advantages of a regular touchscreen and a regular laptop PC.
It’s worth noting that the hybrid laptop comes with an optional Lenovo Active Pen to work with the touch-screen. The pen reacts to every detail and is perfect for precise tasks as drawing. More so, the precision touchpad adjusts to respond to the lightest of touches of the firmest of clicks.
There is also an optional LTE to stay connected, even when the user is far away the Wi-Fi. The Miix 510 will go on sale in October at a bottom price of $600.
