The i10 debuted at the Paris Motor Show 2016

France, Paris. – Hyundai Motor Co. Ltd. (NASDAQ: ThisHYMTF) showcased the second generation of its successful i10 city car at the Paris Motor Show. The vehicle was designed in Germany, produced in Turkey and includes a new flowing line of curves that define the future of the brand’s models.

The “cascading” front lines will become the new identity of Hyundai cars. In particular, the i10 city car is the first one to include this design and to feature round LED running daylight lighTheseperks ensure that the vehicle offers a fresh, urban look.

Like the original model, the i10 comes with two possible gasoline engines: The 1.0-L and 1.25-L. The front-wheel drive runs with a 5-speed manual transmission gear or either with an optional four-speed automatic gearbox.

There is also a BlueDrive Eco model, a variation of the 1.0-L combustion engine with some improvements to reduce fuel consumption.

Hyundai i10 features and price

I10’s navigation software comes with a 7-year subscription to LIVE services. LIVE offers real-time traffic updates, points of interest, local weather, maps, directions and positions of speed cameras in countries that allow this technology.

The cockpit includes automatic air conditioning, a heated steering wheel, and front seat warmers. As it is a city car, the passenger’s seat is small. However, Hyundai says the car can fit five adults in the cabin.

The center panel features a touchscreen with the standard infotainment capabilities. The screen controls the sound system, the radio, the LIVE apps, and navigation. The load space in the cargo is the largest in the city car sector at 252 liters.

“The new i10 showcases strong build quality and our passion for detail, while also including many features from the segments above,” said Hyundai CEO Tony Whitethorn.

New-gen i10 costs  €12,745 or €141 per month at the official European Hyundai site. 2014’s version of the city car did not reach U.S. markets and probably the new one will not either.

Hyundai unveiled its Verna Sedan

Hyundai introduced the next-generation Verna Sedan at the 2016 Chengdu Motor Show on September 2, in China. The vehicle will hit the market late 2016 in the Asian country and is likely to reach India  next year.

The current-gen Verna in India was a 2014 best seller until the Honda City stole the crown. Even the 2015’s mid-gen update of Verna could not boost up the sales again. Now, 2017 Verna is coming with all the perks to get back to the top.

The model adopted Hyundai’s latest design language, the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, making it look similar to the most recent sedans of the brand as the 2016’s Elantra and Sonata.
