HTC’s 2016 September financial results showed a 42% increase in revenue compared to August and a 31% year-on-year rise to a 15-month high of $297 million. Even though HTC didn’t disclose sale figures, HTC Vive and HTC 10 shipments are probably behind the strong month.
The Taiwanese company made $417 million in revenue last month. Strong HTC Vive and HTC 10 sales have given HTC the highest revenue since November 2015. Specific sale figures will appear in the Q3 financial report which will be made available in early November.
Combined with Google’s upcoming Pixel smartphones, HTC should record even higher earnings in the last quarter. HTC partnered with Google to manufacture the two Android devices. Google announced the Pixel and Pixel XL during a press event on October 4.

HTC turned around its financial results with an impressive second half of 2016
During the first three months of the year, HTC’s revenue declined 40% from 2015. However, HTC began its ascent with the release of the HTC 10 handset and the HTC Vive virtual reality headset in April. In consequence, HTC’s third quarter revenue increased 18% quarter over quarter and 4% year on year.
If those numbers are correct, they will surpass the 6 million devices HTC approximately sold during the first half of the year. In addition to the partnership with Google, the Asian phone maker could announce its new Ocean smartphone series.
