From the images, we can infer that the HP EliteBook 1030 looks similar to that of Dell XPS series, since we are unable to find any borders around the display.

However, the display features Corning Gorilla Glass protection, which is normally available with smartphones. The laptop comes in two variants – FHD (1920×1080) and QHD+ (3200×1800), with the QHD version featuring a touch screen.

Specs and Features

Even though the EliteBook 1030 is not as powerful since it packs an Intel Core M processor, the laptop is designed in a fanless manner, which is capable of providing a backup time of up to 13 hours.

The laptop also provides an optional SSD storage flavor, up to 512GB, which includes a 256GB PCIe drive. Moreover, you will be able to upgrade RAM up to 16GB. Hence, the laptop can be considered as future proof.

In addition to a pair of USB 3.0 ports and a HDMI connection, HP also integrated a USB-C port, which enables you to fast charge the device. However, you should note that fast charging increases the heat of the machine during charging.

Bundled with a premium backlit keyboard, the HP EliteBook 1030 is equipped with an enhanced audio using Bang & Olufsen technology. HP also integrated its own noise reduction software as an additional bonus.

The HP EliteBook 1030 also offers advanced enterprise security features such as HP Sure Start with Dynamic Protection, a fingerprint reader, embedded with TPM 2.0 chip, including support for Intel’s own vPro technology and LANDesk software.

Pricing and Availability

Since the base price is fixed at $1,249, HP EliteBook 1030 laptop is definitely not suitable for ordinary consumers. The laptop will be useful for business and IT professionals, who prefer a premium device which is portable, rigid and consist of plenty of display area with premium sounding technology.

The keyboard area is surrounded in silver color. Even though the keys are black, we don’t like the silver base. HP should consider a whole Black variant of the laptop so that consumers will have a choice during the purchase stage.

Those who express interest for the laptop can head over to HP’s website and sign-up for a notification email regarding the EliteBook’s availability.
