U.S. – Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ: onGOOGL) revealed the streaming device Chromecast Ultra. It can connect to a TV and stream 4K videos, HDR quality or Dolby Vision.  The tiny device will release on November in the U.S. with a price tag of $69, and on the U.K. with a cost of £69. It is already the cheapest streaming device on the market.

Users can use their iPhone, Ipad, Android device, tablet or laptop to stream thousands of supported apps, including fan-favs Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, iTunes and Google Play. Whether the TV is 4K or HDR, Chromecast Ultra will automatically stream with the highest quality possible.

Owners can control their TV with a mobile device, and still use the smartphone without interrupting the stream and play without draining the battery.

It supports Android 4.1 and higher, iOS 8.0 and higher, Mac OSX 10.9 and higher, and Windows 7 and higher. The Chromecast Ultra comes with an HDMI cable and is designed to hang out of sight behind the TV.

Chromecast Ultra features

The device features a range of free, subscription or paid content from thousands of apps. Some of the apps available are Netflix, Google Play Movies, HBO Now, Hulu, and PlayStation Vue.

Regarding music, the Chromecast Ultra has alliances with the services of apps like Spotify, Pandora, IHeartRadio or  YouTube Music. It has a dedicated sports section to watch content from trusted channels as NBC Sports, Fox Sports Go, MLS Live, and Watch ESPN.

It also boasts functionality with gaming apps, photo editors, Google Chrome web browser, and many other. Users should keep in mind that 4K streaming requires a reliable bandwidth, 15Mbps or higher for Netflix, for example.

Chromecast Ultra for speakers

Chromecast Audio is a separate device that streams tunes from the mobile device or table through a speaker. It has a price of $35.

The hardware plugs into a speaker through an RCA, 3.5mm plug, or optical cable. The 3.5 mm comes right out of the box with the device.
