On Thursday, Ubisoft announced a new open beta for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, running from February 23 to 27. Players will get to explore 21 provinces in co-op mode or solo on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The title is the latest in both the Tom Clancy franchise and the Ghost Recon series, making it the tenth installment of the bunch. The upcoming game pits Ghosts of the U.S Army against the Santa Blanca cartel in the wildlands of Bolivia.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands has both a single-player and multiplayer mode for teams of up to 4 people. Next week’s beta will be focused on testing the multiplayer aspect of the game, although gamers can play solo if they want to.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands introduces AI features

Ubisoft has created the largest open world map of any of their games for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, featuring great scenery and terrain of the Bolivian Altiplano and other provinces.

While the title is mainly meant to be a multiplayer experience, players can also take part of the action going solo with the company of AI Ghosts who respond to their commands as real teammates would do.

The open world environment lets players wander on their own and make their choices to complete missions as they see fit. The public beta will grant access to 21 provinces of Bolivia featured in the release version, including Itacua and Montuyoc.

How to sign up for Ghost Recon: Wildlands open beta

To sign up for the open beta of Ghost Recon: Wildlands, players need to register on Ubisoft’s official site for the game. There, they will have to specify in which system they will be playing, and the company will RSVP them in time.

Preloading will be an option on February 21, when aspiring players can download the game but not play it just yet. For that, they will have to wait until 12 PM on February 23 until February 27 at the same hour.

If you played either the closed beta a couple of months ago or plan on participating in the open beta, Ubisoft will reward you with three exclusive missions as part of the “Unidad Conspiracy” unit on the full game when you buy it on March 7.
