The Consumer Electronics Show is in three days, and the event organization has just announced the honorees of this year’s Innovation Awards Program.

Dell is one of the most accomplished companies this year, leading the charge with seven products that promise to deliver the best performance in computing in 2017, starting with the all-new 2-in-1 XPS 13 notebook.

Apart from the laptop, Dell’s honorees also include the Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor which the company claims it is the thinnest of its kind. The monitor will hit the stores in the US on March 23, 2017, and it will cost $699,99.

The Texas-based company shares the spotlight at CES with other competing tech giants such as Acer, ASUS, Samsung, HP, and more. The Innovation Awards Program recognizes significant achievements in tech development in 28 different categories.

Dell is currently riding on a once-in-a-lifetime wave of success thanks to the 13-inch model of its XPS series.

Ever since their launch back in 2012, the XPS 13 ultrabooks have registered profits for the tech giant nearly four years straight at the close of the latest financial quarter.

Moreover, the most recent versions of the XPS 13 have earned the ‘Laptop of the Year’ title twice in a row now on specialized columns of renowned outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, WIRED, and Laptop Magazine.

The VP of Dell’s PC Product Group, Sam Burd, claims 2017 will offer the company’s “best lineup yet,” kicking off at CES with the introduction of the new XPS 13 2-in-1 and other exciting computer products.

Dell vs. Asus vs. Acer at CES 2017

While the 2-in-1 XPS 13 and the 27 Ultrathin Monitor are worthy contenders, Dell will have to prove its worth beyond award ceremonies if it plans to maintain its success streak in 2017.

Among the competing laptops at the Innovation Awards are Lenovo’s Yoga 910, Acer’s Spin 7 and, HP’s Spectre 13. All three notebooks are convertibles and each offer unique traits that match or threaten to top Dell’s new XPS 13.

In the monitor realm, the Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor stands next to ASUS Designo Curve 34-inch curved screen and Acer’s Predator Z301CT, “the world’s first” curved display with eye-tracking functionalities.

An oversight by CES?

In spite of Sam Burd himself posting at Dell’s official corporate blog the news of CES awarding 7 of its products the honoree title of its 2017 Innovation Awards Program, the CES website shows no sign of said hardware.

At the moment of this writing, the Consumer Technology Association listed no Dell products in none of the 28 categories of the Innovation Awards on its official site.
