Ben Affleck posted this Monday on social media a video of the DC Comics character Deathstroke.
The video shows Deathstroke in what looks like to be Batman’s Flying Fox with a car, probably the Batmobile, in the background, as he slowly approaches the camera. The video ends with the character staring at the camera.
It was taken from a phone as the video shows a monitor where the real video is played. It is to be noted that in one point, Affleck shows part of the background of the monitor, and it looks like there is a green screen.
It is not known if the video is from the Justice League movie, set to release in 2017, as Affleck posted the video but with no caption in it and it has no sound.
Fans are speculating the footage is from the Justice League movie as it is the closest movie to be released in which the character could appear in.
The official Justice League villain is going to be Steppenwolf, so it is unclear what could be Deathstroke’s role in the movie if he is going to appear in it.

Deathstroke appearances rumors in the DC Extended Universe
The actor Joe Manganiello was rumored to played Deathstroke in the Suicide Squad movie, but after the release of the film, everyone could see it was not true as the character did not appear in the movie. Manganiello claimed he did not test for Deathstroke, but for an entirely different character.
The Justice League movie is currently filming in the UK, and Manganiello apparently traveled over there recently. This could be an indication that maybe, Manganiello is playing Deathstroke in the superhero team-up movie.
Another rumor is that Deathstroke may appear in Justice League, but with a minor role only to introduce the character for a later appearance in the Batman solo movie.
This can be taken as a reliable hint because it was Affleck who posted the video and he is directing, producing and co-writing and the Batman solo movie alongside DC’s Chief Creative Officer, Geoff Johns.
Story and previous appearances of Deathstroke
His real name is Slade Wilson, and he first appeared in The New Teen Titans #2 in 1980.
He is a mercenary and an assassin with enhanced abilities who started as a villain for the Teen Titans, and as the character was developed, he also became a big villain for Batman and Green Arrow.
He appeared as the main villain in the Cartoon Network series Teen Titans in 2003. On the show, the character was called by his real name Slade, instead of his villain name, Deathstroke. He was portrayed in the DC live-action show Smallville and later in the CW show Arrow as the main villain for season 2.
