After ‘Amazon Lending’, the popular e-commerce portal Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) has come up with one more new scheme for the customers in London. The scheme is called as Amazon Prime Now service.
Under this scheme, customers from London can get the stuff ordered by them delivered within an hour of payment. To avail this service, customers need to become Amazon Prime Subscribers and the subscribed members can get the faster one-hour delivery for £6.99. If customers can wait for hours they can get a free delivery option as well. The minimum total for faster delivery should be at least £20, and then only you can get an hour delivery. The service is available from morning 8 till midnight.

Customers become the centre of attention with Amazon Prime Now
This super-fast service was launched in the US last year and it has received a great big response from the customers. London is the fifth city to get the Amazon Prime Now service and first outside the US. Currently, Amazon Prime Now is available only for east Londoners. The rest of London will get it very soon, as reported said by Amazon. The Amazon Prime Now members can order up to 10,000 items from various categories like from game consoles to coffee; whatever they want to be delivered in an hour.
“This is just the beginning,” said Amazon UK managing director Christopher North.
Firstly the deliveries were limited to foods and cleaning goods; but now it has increased the range of products. There is Prime App also to check the status of the delivery. Amazon also mentions that customers can give the delivery boy tip as per their interest. The company makes sure that the whole tip solely goes to the delivery boy.
Amazon says its UK business collects the tip but says “the entire tip will go to the delivery person”.
Amazon Prime Now Service is the main focus to increase the company’s profit by accumulating more and more subscription members. Amazon is now just focusing on how it can expand its business everywhere instead of thinking about the profit.
