TrackR’s new GPS device is perfect for tracking your car. The coin-sized device called Bravo is set to replace expensive GPS devices. TrackR’s Bravo works with smartphones to trace any belonging.

The TrackR Bravo started as a crowdfunding project on Indiegogo. The project achieved 600 times its target with more than $1.7million. The device is currently available on websites like Amazon and Ebay, and in shops like Argos and John Lewis.

The Bravo is a small tracking device that can be attached to a keyring or stuck into a flat surface. Bravo’s main body is made out of metal. The gadget also features a removable battery that will keep it running for years. The overall diameter of the Bravo is merely 30mm with a 3.5mm thickness.

TrackR developed an App for Bravos to pair with iOS and Android. Pairing the device with the smartphone just requires pressing one button on the front of the instrument. Once paired there are several profiles to choose such as: “Keys,” “Drone,” “Laptop,” “Pet,” etc.

Bravo’s main feature is to track people’s belongings. The device even features a “Last seen”  location on a map.

New Bravo TrackR features include Crowd GPS and more

TrackR implemented a “Crowd GPS” feature. TrackR can anonymously ping anyone using the app. TrackR will update its location even if you loses connection on your phone. The app also features the option to call the device and follow its sound.

TrackR also offers two accessories for the Bravo Device. A high-end metal carabiner for attaching the device to items like keys or purse. A water-resistant casing to keep the device protected from liquids. The latter is also recommended as a water-proof casing when using the device on pets.

Making the most out of your Bravo TrackR

On its Blog, TrackR shared five tips to get the most out of their new app. Turning Bluetooth on so the device and the phone can communicate properly. Turning location services on, it will help finding items by knowing its last known location. Leaving the TrackR app open.

Turning on the push notifications feature will help users find items lost away from home. Referring your friends to make the network even bigger, also if someone buys a TrackR device using your referral link both will get an extra device for free.
