A Game of the Year edition of Rocket League is now available for PlayStation 4 and the Steam digital store for PC. The GOTY bundle packs all available DLCs and costs $24.99, which represents a 40 percent discount.
The extra content of the base game includes Supersonic Fury, Chaos Run, and Revenge of the Battle-Cars expansion. Other digital bonuses vary according to the platform, while the PS4 takes more advantage of the bundle offer.
The title is also available on Xbox One, but Microsoft has not announced a Game of the Year version for its console.
What is Rocket League?
Rocket League, by game studio Psyonix, is a vehicular soccer video game. The game makers describe the title as “soccer, but with rocket-powered cars.” It released in July 2015 for PS4 and Microsoft Windows, but there are ports for Xbox One, OS X, and Linux.
Rocket Leagues won than 150 Game of the Year Awards, and it is highly acclaimed for its novelty gameplay. It has more than 22 million active players, according to the game developers.
The title has one to four players on two teams. The gamers use rocket-powered vehicles to push the ball and make a goal.
The game includes single-player and multiplayer modes, both online and offline. There is also a cross-platform play between Windows and PlayStation 4 versions, as well a cross-play mode for Xbox One and Windows players.
The latest updates of the game enable the players to mod the game and add new rules. Some of the most popular tweaks include hockey and basketball-like matches.

The price is the same for both platforms, but the content is different. The PS4 Rocket League GOTY edition has more treats.
The PS4 and the Steam store will get the full game with the three expansion packs. However, Sony’s console will also get a Sharefactory Theme, a Shield Logo Avatar, an RLCS Avatar, a Ball Avatar, and an Octane Avatar.

On other Rocket League News, Steam Workshop levels are coming to the game in December. It will allow players on PC, Mac, and SteamOS to upload custom levels they built to the Steam Rocket League Community Hub.
The Hub is Rocket League’s modding community and fans on the RocketLeague Mods subreddit. They made new maps using the Unreal Engine 3 UDK, but the Steam Workshop support will give a much easier way to share creations without having to edit game files.
