The latest hero was introduced in yesterday’s Overwatch update for PC. Ana is one of the founding members of Overwatch and now she’s returning to fight again. Ana is a sniper specialized in supporting his allies from long range with her unique set of skills.
She features a Biotic rifle as her primary weapon, and she can either do damage over time to enemies or heal allies using long-range darts. Due to her arsenal, she can also fare well in close quarters, and her bionic grenade can restore allies’ health bar while damaging foes at the same time in a small area of effect. Enemies affected by the bionic projectile won’t be able to heal up for the next few seconds while her allies will receive a boost on incoming healing.
Nano Boost is Ana’s ultimate, this will grant faster movement, increased damage, and resistance to enemy attacks to one of her allies.
General fixes during this update
Adding Ana as an AI-controlled hero in practice vs. AI, Play vs. AI, and custom games has been fixed for the latest Overwatch update. Matches going to overtime for more that 20 seconds will have the fuse burning down more quickly Competitive playing reduced the numbers of heroes to one of each per team.
Regarding hero balances on yesterday’s patch D.Va was greatly ‘buffed,’ according to developers she wasn’t picked as much as other tanks because her damage absorption abilities were not performing so well next to other tanks.
They made her Defense Matrix ability more flexible meaning that it can be used more regularly – They reduced its cooldown from 10 seconds to 1 second and also tweaked a bit its mechanics, and they also made her last better by reducing its cost by 15% and making D.VA invulnerable to her explosion.
Zenyatta also got some “love” in this patch. Zenyatta is an offensive support that always lacked mobility and health, so it always struggled to find his place in most matches. The developers by adding 50 additional shields to his pool are making him more capable of soloing most enemies.
Also during this updates Zenyatta’s orbs speed were changed from 30 to 120, making him able to apply his effects faster. His ultimate was also buffed by doubling movement speed on activation and increasing the amount of health it heals from 200 to 300 health points.

“This Ultimate was designed to be the most efficient against sustained, high-damage fire… But, due to the amount of healing it provided, there were times when it was possible for even sustained fire to overcome Transcendence’s output,” developers noted on yesterday’s patch.
During this patch bugs including not being able to rejoin games in competitive playing, lightning issues with the kill cam, players collision across multiple maps, and Roadhog being able to chain accidentally hook targets standing behind him were fixed.
Lastly, game options changes included being able to enter numerical values to options such as FoV, volume, sensitivity (mouse sensitivity can now be adjusted out of two decimals), adding 21:9 aspect radio support and being able to toggle a real-world clock by toggling the “Display System Clock” setting.
