The 2016 edition of the CIO and CISO Southern California Summit will take place at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles from 7 am to 7 pm, on Thursday, December 8.
The one-day event will gather industry leaders from the information technology world, as well experts and managing partners from the organizing firm CDM Media.
Presentations and keynotes featured throughout the day will touch on hot topics like cybersecurity and cloud computing, while also leaving room for networking among the attendees in between talks.
The Southern California Summit is one of the several Summits organized by CDM Media all year long in the U.S. and around the world. February 2017 will see the event land in New York, Atlanta, Denver, Washington, and Montreal.

Some of the names registered for the Thursday event include Technicolor, Union Bank, DirecTV, Sony Electronics Inc, The Walt Disney Company, Dole Food, Edison International, Pfizer, Newegg, and The Los Angeles County.
Both C-level attendees will get together at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles for registration, and a complimentary networking breakfast from 7 to 8 am. James Quin, the VP of Events at CMD Media will welcome guests and kick-off the Summit.
BeyondTrust and Dell EMC will sponsor the first two keynotes of the day, both addressing the perks of working on IT security and consolidating leadership in the sector with the tools available for executives today.
Partners and company representatives will get a 30-minute Executive Exchange break at the same time Equinix hosts a talk focused on new organizational structures for better IT management in enterprises.
Jeanne Holm and Ron Moskowitz, CIOs of the City and County of Los Angeles respectively, will each hold a Think Tank was touching on company planning for IT tasks and collaborative environments to perform them.
Next, up Gemalto, BlackBerry, and Fortinet will present their views on the state of IT security, cyber threats, and the outlook of cloud computing for companies who wish to thrive under the new technology.
There will be a lunch break at one followed by talks on management, user engagement, and talent exploiting headed by RSA, Gurucul, Skuid, and IBM. Bitglass and Appian will sponsor two roundtables discussing enterprise software and new business models based on IT.
Finally, James Quin will take over once more to moderate a panel with top executives from Farmers Insurance, Avery Dennison, and Pacific Life the benefits and disadvantages of Shadow IT practice.
The event will end with a cocktail reception between 6 and 7 pm at the venue.
2016 CIO & CISO Southern California Summit: Price
Attending the 2016 CIO or CISO Southern California Summit costs $995 a piece for each executive representing the information and information security team of their company.
Registration is also exclusive since not anyone can just attend a Summit. Service providers, for example, need a sponsorship from an industry executive to go to the event. Some area chiefs may apply for a VIP discount on the entry fee.
