The U.S. President Barack Obama swung by ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Monday to sit down for an interview with the late night host. Obama also took the opportunity to read some more mean tweets this time around, and even respond directly to Donald Trump.

Obama’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live marks the last time he will be on the talk show while still holding office. The 44th President of the United States has been quite active these last couple of months, passing bills, lifting bans, and making sure he leaves his mark in the history of the country.

President Barack Obama is currently in the last three months of his second and final presidential term. Election Day is on Tuesday, November 8, and either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump will succeed the Hawaii native as the 45th President of the U.S.

Obama has laughed at Trump during presidential debates

With Barack Obama on his way out of the White House, the U.S. President has a little more time in his hands to catch up with current events.

The 55-year-old leader sat down with Jimmy Kimmel to talk about his latest experiences as Commander in Chief. Obama and Kimmel talked about a variety of topics before inevitably reaching the upcoming presidential election.

Kimmel asked President Obama if he laughed at Trump while watching him argue with Hillary Clinton in the latest presidential debates. He said that he did, in fact, found himself laughing at Trump’s words “most of the time.”

However, the late night host followed with a question about a hypothetical scenario in which the President ran against Trump in the 2016 presidential elections. Despite the lighthearted question, Obama quickly clarified this was no laughing matter and that he was campaigning hard for Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party to avoid Trump from taking office.

Obama claims Trump will not become president, drops mic

Jimmy Kimmel acted accordingly in the presence of the U.S. President and had him star in one of his show’s most iconic segments: ‘Celebrities Read Mean Tweets.’

It was the second occasion in which President Obama took part in the skit, reading offensive tweets from several users ranging from mild and funny to straight attacks at the charismatic leader.

Barack Obama read a couple of tweets that bashed him for his dancing skills, negotiation abilities, his looks, and, of course, blamed him for things completely out of his power. At the end of the sketch, Obama read a tweet written by the Republican Candidate Donald Trump himself (@realDonaldTrump).

“President Obama will go down as perhaps the worst president in the history of the United States!” read the tweet. “Well, @realDonaldTrump, at least I will go down as a president,” Obama quickly replied.

Obama’s presidency is set to finish on January 20, 2017. The American people will elect the 45th President of the United States on Tuesday, November 8.
