New York's ex-mayor Rudy Giuliani says he'll be voting for Donald Trump

Former New York City Major, Rudy Giuliani continues a relentless support for Donald Trump after the Republican nominee made new controversial statements about Hillary Clinton. Mr. Trump is recently under fire for allegedly inciting violence to supporters during a rally in North Carolina on Tuesday.

Giuliani appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” today to defend his colleague and attempted to clarify Donald Trump`s remarks. He also criticized Hillary Clinton`s campaign for taking the business man`s words out of context.

Donald Trump encountered new troubles

When talking about the second amendment during the rally, Donald Trump told supporters that his presidential rival would ultimately ban the right to bear arms.

“HILLARY WANTS TO ESSENTIALLY ABOLISH THE SECOND AMENDMENT. BY THE WAY, AND IF SHE GETS TO PICK HER JUDGES, NOTHING YOU CAN DO, FOLKS”, Trump continued ” ALTHOUGH THE SECOND AMMENDENT PEOPLE, MAYBE THERE IS, I DON’T KNOW”.

These comments led to an immediate response by supporters and detractors alike. The NRA tweeted that Donald Trump was right, while Clinton`s campaign and some gun-control advocates criticized the Republican.

Rudy Giuliani seeks to deflect Trump`s controversy

During his appearance on “Good Morning America”, Rudy Guiliani backed up Trump by saying that the candidate was not “particularly indirect”, and that if he wanted to say something like that, he would say it.

It was very clear to Mr. Guiliani – as he explained during the interview- that his colleague just wanted to warn his supporters about Hillary Clinton doing away with the 2nd amendment by any means necessary if elected president.

The former major accused Clinton`s campaign of painting Trump`s comments as anything less than innocent.

The former U.S attorney has been defending his colleague more often

After 50 Republican national security officials had issued a letter opposing Trump`s candidacy on Monday, the presidential candidate took to Twitter to respond that these officials were part of the people that have made U.S a mess. The former major discussed the letter on Fox and Friends this Tuesday.

The Republican party has been enduring internal conflict since the beginning of Donald Trump`s controversial campaign, with Rudy Guiliani continuing to be one of Trump`s top supporters.
