U.S. – Fiat Chrysler gave fans the first look at the company’s ultra-luxurious SUV after many years of rumors. 2019 Jeep Grand Wagoneer seems like a bigger, meaner and tougher Grand Cherokee.
When it hits the market, this three-row crossover SUV will be the top vehicle in Jeep’s range. Jeep CEO Mike Manley speculates the price will be over $130,000 for the Range Rover competition.
The images came from a Jeep dealer meeting comprising of posters with details of the brand’s upcoming lineup. The pictures also revealed the face of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, codenamed JL.

The company wants to enter the big SUV market. Last year, Fiat Chrysler boss Sergio Marchionne told Bloomberg he got frustrated every time he saw a Range Rover on the street because his company should be able to do that kind of vehicle.
In recent, Fiat Chrysler’s sales have increased giving the company the resources to start making luxurious SUVs.
The vehicle has a very broad and aggressive front grille and LED lights that resemble the Grand Cherokee series, but it looks wider and larger than the two-row Grand Cherokee.
It will be about the size of a Dodge Durango three-row crossover and will be built upon the next-gen Grand Cherokee platform.
Both the GC and Durango share a Mercedes SUV platform, but it is unclear whether future Jeep models will use an evolution of these design plate or something new. Powertrain options are V8 and V6 diesel and gas engines.
2018 Jeep Wrangler concept
JL will be a classic seven-slat grille with new features that make it different from other Jeep models like the Renegade, Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee.
2018 Wrangler has faces and tails larger than other Jeep SUVs. The design is new and represent an evolution of the vehicle, but relies on the seven-slat grille, round headlights, and rectangular taillights flanking a mounted spare tire.
The vehicle will probably come in two-door and Unlimited four-door models. It will have gas engine options, including a new turbocharged Hurricane four-cylinder, and a diesel option as well.
JL will have a nine-speed automatic transmission, but manual gear will likely prevail in some models. The car is expected to show at the Detroit Car Show in January 2017.
