US – The US software giant, Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) has launched Windows 10 today in more than 190 countries. Microsoft has tried to make Windows 10 unique and claims it to be the best version ever which is built with feedback of Windows Insiders; a group of over 5 million users.

Windows 10 version was first announced in September 2014 and then with a lot of ongoing innovations and security updates; Microsoft has finally offered a free update to genuine Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 customers.

Windows 10 launch is a major event for Microsoft, as its previous version Windows 8.1 which presented the Tile format replacing the Start Menu resulted in a setback. Due to the disappearance of Start Menu, some people were highly dissatisfied. Thus, Microsoft has added some of the flair of version 7 and 8.1 as well in Windows 10 to attract all sorts of people. In its new version, it came up with new innovations like Cortana, Windows Hello, Microsoft Edge and Continuum. 2. If someone does not register for the update now, he can register for the upgradation later but within one year of availability. Registration is the first process for upgradation.
  3. Earlier, Microsoft had announced that free upgradation will be provided to all its users. However, if someone is running a counterfeit or the fake earlier version of Windows; then the user has to pay $199 for getting the authentic version.
  4. Also, for such users who wish to have different versions of Windows 10 like Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro; they have to pay certain additional charges. The Windows 10 Home edition will be charged around $119.99 and the Pro version will be charged around $199.99.
