Valentine’s Day sale drops prices of Nexus 5X, 6P

If the earlier price drop was not good enough for you to go buy a Nexus device, you need to look again. Google had slashed the price quietly for the Nexus 5X, making the device more tempting for the potential buyers who were looking to opt for the top range handsets from OnePlus or Motorola.

Earlier the price for the Nexus 5X used to be $349 and now it has dropped down to $299. At first, there was no confirmation for the duration of the price drop, but, later, Google confirmed that the price cut is part of the Valentine’s day sale. They also ensured that there will be a $50 discount only on the gold edition of the Nexus 6P. The buyers can also get a further $50 off if they go for Huawei’s smartwatch.

Aside from the discount, you could also get a Google cover for free with the purchase of a Nexus 5X, so all in all the deal is a pretty solid one.

Here is a quick rundown of the specs of the two devices. The Nexus 5X supports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD screen that has the resolution of 1920X1080 pixels and a pixel density of 423ppi. The device runs on a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 processor along with 2GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB of onboard storage. Do note the storage is non-expandable. In the camera department, the device features a 5MP front camera and 13MP main shooter. The device is supported by a 2,700 mAh battery as well.

As for the Nexus 6P, it supports a 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen that has the resolution of 2560X1440 pixels and a pixel density of 518ppi. The device runs on a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 processor along with 3GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage. Do note the storage is non-expandable. In the camera department, the phablet sports an 8MP front camera and 12.3MP main camera. The device is backed by a 3,450 mAh battery.
