Ubisoft at E3 2018: more details about Beyond Good & Evil 2 revealed

Microsoft wasn’t the only company with a big day at the E3 convention, as Ubisoft kicks off with astounding announcements that have fans reeling.

The gaming company took the stage recently and came out with plenty of surprises for fans. Including game sequels, partnerships and collaborations with Nintendo and Joseph Gordon Levitt’s startup, HitRECord.

Ubisoft key announcements: The Division 2, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and more

Although it was no secret that the new Assassin’s Creed would be on the company’s agenda, Ubisoft heavily focused its keynote on the game, which will be titled Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, which will be set on Ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian War, and will star decedents of Leonidas. The new addition to the saga will feature more role-playing elements than last year’s Origins, and will also have the option of customizing the character’s gear and abilities to the player’s preference.

One of Ubisoft’s surprises featured was a guest appearance from Fox McCloud in its upcoming open world, toy-based game titled Starlink: Battle for Atlas. Not only will Fox McCloud be a playable character, but it will feature “Star Wolf” missions. The addition however, will be made exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

This is not the only collaboration Ubisoft is doing with Nintendo, as the bizarre Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle will be getting a DLC that will feature Donkey Kong. Ubisoft describes the game as  “epic battle against a vengeful Rabbid Kong who uses his new powers to take over a mysterious island,” while “Donkey Kong, Rabbid Peach, and a moody new Rabbid hero, Rabbid Cranky, will team up on a journey across four brand-new environments.”

Ubisoft also announced a new installment in The Division series. The company revealed that the game will feature three expansions, which will be free for all players. The post-apocalyptic online game will also include eight-person raids.

Fans were also ecstatic over seeing and hearing more about Beyond Good and Evil 2. Though there wasn’t much revealed as to what’s coming, and there was very little gameplay showed off, the new thrilling trailer is enough to keep gamers on their toes.

HitRECord will take part in the Beyond Good and Evil development, as Joseph Gordon Levitt’s company is encouraging fans to submit music and art that could be added to the aforementioned game. The submitted music and art people create could be placed around the city or a mural, whereas the music can be played on the game’s radio.
