A new Twitter Ads button for iOS and Android client applications

Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) has rolled out a new Ads button for its iOS and Android client applications users. Although, this is not being officially announced by Twitter itself, but according to what TechCrunch reports, it is now available for both Android and iOS users. The newest Twitter Ads button will be placed on the user profile pages and it is going to be seen just on the right side of the “Edit profile” button, the account switcher and the Settings icon.

What does the Twitter Ads button do

Initially, some users took it as some shortcut to Twitter analytics but now things are pretty much clear. The Ads button provides the ability to manage users’ Twitter ad campaigns while on the go. Some users are not much happy with this new update. If you are not currently running any Twitter ad campaign, then this feature is simply redundant. This button will not pursue you to go and create your first new campaign from the app itself.

Earlier this year, Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) had introduced a similar thing that helps users manage their Facebook ads through smartphones only. The social networking giant has launched a Facebook Ad Manager App that not only lets advertisers know about the performance of their Ads, but also brings the whole creation process to the mobile phone. One can simply go and write ad text, upload photos and even put restrictions on the type of audience on which he/she is focusing; right from the application itself.

Of course, right now we cannot expect so many fancy features from Twitter’s counterpart; as it is not an official announcement about the presence of this new Twitter Ads button. However, hopefully they will be planning to bring such features like Facebook in the future. It is still not very clear about how many users are able to see this new change but since recently both iOS and Android app have been updated, it is expected to be added in the latest versions.
