Toyota Camry Hybrid: Review, Specs and Price

Toyota Motor Corporation (NASDAQ: TM) has an alternative from the Prius in India: the Toyota Camry Hybrid with a price tag of $26,790. Not exactly a cheap car, but the specs could justify the pricing.

The company promises the vehicle will be the hybrid to stand out in polluted cities, and vows to give their customers a combination of fuel efficiency and low emission to be as friendly as possible to the environment.

The car is already a popular choice in the luxury sedan market. Its elegance, charm, top-end comfort and overall experience makes the Hybrid Camry a beloved car from the Japanese automaker.

Toyota says the sedan produces 66% less smog compared to average 2016’s vehicles 

A 6.5 Ah Nickel-Metal Hybrid battery pack powers up the car. The automaker packs a Hybrid Synergy Drive system with a petrol engine working together under the hood.

The car can automatically modify the source of energy from gasoline engine to the electric motor according to the road conditions.

Fuel efficiency is also an impressive feature. According to the company, the vehicle would spend 5.2 liters every 100 km (62.13 miles).  More so, The car not only saves fuel but also acts as a generator when the driver slows down.

The engine comes linked to an E-CTV automatic transmission with a cumulative power output of 202 BHP and 213 Nm of torque.

The 2016 Toyota Camry’s cabin features top-end luxury comfort

Experience inside the car is also top notch. First thing worth noting is that Toyota tuned up the suspensions for passenger commodity and good ride quality.

The cabin is 4850 mm in length, longer than most luxury sedans. The seats are made of leather trim, while leather stitching extends across the dashboard.

The pilot may increase leg room by moving the seat with a button, while the back seats can recline into more comfortable seating posture. The Camry Hybrid is the only car in its class to have this feature.

Rear passengers also have access to an entire set of controls within the armrest.

The cabin is full of electronics to enhance user experience. It has Hill Start Assist and a 3-zone climate control system.

There is also a hybrid energy monitor that displays in real time the status of the battery, energy regeneration, engine and other essential information.

Camry Hybrid packs an aggressive design with a sports mesh front grille, LED headlights, DLR, 18-inches alloy wheels and dual chrome-tipped exhaust.
