SEGA has released a PC version of Bayonetta via Steam this Tuesday. The game costs $19.99, and it brings 4K resolution support as well as enhanced graphic settings. It is available in a Digital Deluxe Edition for a limited time with bonus content.
The re-release is the third for Bayonetta, debuting first in Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 back in 2009. It came back a second time along its sequel, Bayonetta 2, exclusively for Wii U players in 2014.
Platinum Games, the developers of the game, have recently faced some criticism for the PC port of their most recent game, Nier: Automata. There doesn’t seem to be any issues with Bayonetta, though, as early reviews suggest the desktop version is as epic as its predecessors.
What’s new in Bayonetta for PC?
Bayonetta is a hack-and-slash game that follows the witch in her fight against the forces of heaven. Her suit is her hair, which she can cast into demons, weapons, and torture devices to fight off enemies in a variety of ways.
The game is unique, to say the least, and its remarkable combat system has served as the foundations for other Platinum Games. PC gamers are in for a treat with Bayonetta, and the Steam achievements system is sure to add some more fun to the whole experience.
For players with compatible monitors, they will be able to enjoy all the eccentric guns, hair demons, and high heels action in full 4K glory. All PC players can now control advanced graphic options to customize their visual experience.
These settings include anti-aliasing, SSAO lighting, shadow quality, anisotropic filtering, texture quality, and HDR. You can also play Bayonetta at full 60 fps in desktop, and choose between English or Japanese audio with subtitles.
Bayonetta for PC: System Requirements and Deals
Steam recommends a very mid-range set of components to play Bayonetta. Suggested system requirements are just an i5 4460, 8 GB of RAM, and either a Radeon HD7870 or a GeForce GTX 760 for graphics. It runs on Windows 7 or above, and it requires 20 GB of free storage space.
While Steam sells Bayonetta for $19.99, other SEGA certified distributors have it at lower prices. For instance, the lowest out there comes courtesy of GamesPlanet, who has it for £13.49 or $16.85.
Although this is a U.K. deal, Bayonetta keys are not region locked, so it is just an issue of currency conversion when it comes to payment. DLGamer also offers an attractive price at $17.99, available in the U.S.
All these deals are for Bayonetta Digital Deluxe Edition which includes a digital OST sampler with five songs, a digital art book of the game, high-res wallpapers, and avatars for your Steam account.
