CoWatch price and release date

U.S. – Amazon Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) launched the world’s first smartwatch equipped with Alexa, the AI assistant. The CoWatch from the newcomer company, iMCO, is available at Amazon for $299.

The CoWatch allows users to interact with Amazon’s voice service with a simple tap. Alexa can do many tasks, from ordering a pizza, set the timer, display a new face in the watch or even control smart home devices. It works like a portable flagship Amazon Echo.

Amazon Echo is a voice command device that talks, plays music, and controls smart devices. It is a 9.25-inch cylinder speaker with a seven-piece microphone array.  Alexa’s voice recognition software allows both Echo and CoWatch to understand what a person is asking and provide intelligent responses.

CoWatch is making its way into the UK markets and is expected to reach the U.S. stores in the coming months. The device started as a crowd-funding campaign from iMCO on Indiegogo, and then officially released it on Aug. 20. Early buyers got the device for $159.

iMCO’s smartwatch runs on Cronologics OS

Amazon’s new wrist product has essential smartwatch features as a step counter, stopwatch, speed dial, timer, heart rate monitor, whether, notifications, music Bluetooth and more. Users also get some watch interfaces to customize the screen’s appearance.

The device runs on a new operating system different from Android and Google Veterans in the Cronologics Corporation. Cronologics OS is compatible with other devices running on Android 5.0 or later and iOS 9.0 or later.

The company is constantly updating the CoWatch and adding new features and functionalities regularly.

CoWatch specs

The watch comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED full-circle touchscreen display, resistant to fracture and has a 400 x 400-pixel resolution. The screen is 1.72 inches wide and 0.48 inch thick. The CoWatch weighs 53.9 grams.

iMCO’s smartwatch runs on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. It has 1GB Ram and 8 GB flash memory, offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and comes with a built-in speaker and microphone. The device also sports a heartbeat sensor to feed health apps information.

The body is stainless steel and Zirconia Ceramic, water and dust resistant, and comes with a battery than can last up to 32 hours, according to the company.
