HTC One M10 Rumors: Price, Specs and Release Date

It is no secret that HTC, the Taiwanese tech giant that has conquered the top in the last few fiscal quarters, now faces some significant financial problems, thus creating the need for its next flagship  to be innovative, unique and able to attract more customers. And thankfully enough, the latest rumours say that this model is exactly what consumers needed.

Evan Blass, better known as @evleaks, the gadget-leaking Twitter account of that moniker, says that this information, which is based on an unnamed source, came to him recently but didn’t want to publish anything before he was certain. So, according to Blass, the new device will be the One M10 prototype. The handset will reportedly feature a 5.1-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560) display, which looked to be of the AMOLED variety. It’ll also come with HTC’s Sense 8.0 user interface atop Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Like the A9 and M9 Plus, HTC will have a fingerprint sensor on the front of it.

So, according to Blass, the new device will be the One M10 prototype. The handset will reportedly feature a 5.1-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560) display, which looked to be of the AMOLED variety. The devices will likely feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, coupled with Adreno 530 GPU, which doesn’t surprise us much, since Qualcomm’s 820 chipset is one of the best currently available. It will also have a 4GB RAM and a 32GB of on-board storage and microSD expansion. As far as camera’s quality, M10 will supposedly launch with a 12 UltraPixel rear-facing camera. While the front-facing sensor’s resolution wasn’t specified, both the rear and front cameras will offer optical image stabilization (OIS). Moreover, it will be 5.1-inches and 1440p, much like the rumored Galaxy S7.

It goes without saying that as it currently stands; HTC looks to have a very strong device on its hands. From what we know so far, HTC reportedly won’t be announcing the One M10 at Mobile World Congress. The company is planning to announce the device at its own event later in the spring, while starting price should set you back around $550, unlocked.

So until the time arrives, we’ll keep an eye on the rumour mill to see what’s coming out next.
