Los Angeles – One of the most beloved bands in all the U.S., Green Day, has recently broken its non-planned hiatus with the release of “Rebirth”, a very convenient name considering the backstory of its leading singer and very dedicated leader, Billie Joe Armstrong. A simple album with no gimmicks nor surprises but returning to the band’s right rocking style is what Billie Joe pushed and finally achieved with this new release dated later this year.

Since the 2004, we all came to know Green Day as a unique rock band with very complex yet enjoyable songs that narrate true life stories about American reality. That year the album “American Idiot” proved to be the huge success that the band was looking forward to.

The album featured classics such as “Wake me up when September ends” and the single “American Idiot” they managed to earn the number 1 position in many charts inside the U.S. and consolidate what would be a very loyal fan base that would pledge to their lyrical narrative.

Much of this success is due to Billie Joe Armstrong’s leadership and hardworking approach to the band’s work schedule, not in vain he pushed his bandmates, Jason White, Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt into everyday practice sessions.

“You’ve got to keep it tuned up, or it’s gonna sit there and rust” are the words that Billie says when asked about this regard. But Billie has a very controversial background regarding his alcohol addiction and drug abuse that was present during all their tours and posed a problem in both his career and personal life.

The release of their oldest chain of albums “¡Uno!” “¡Dos!” “¡Tré!” in 2012 marked the peak of madness in the spiral that Armstrong had created for himself, in vain he tried to maintain a balance in his life using the band as an excuse, but everything collapsed during the release of ¡Tré!.

At this time Armstrong’s mates decided to put a halt to everything and encourage his friend to find the help he needed. This decision agreed by all but proposed by Mike Dirnt was made not because of the band’s performance but because of Armstrong’s self-destructive behavior that would put his life on the edge.

Now, after an extended period of 4 years of sobriety, Armstrong, along with his band brothers has finally decided to break the self-imposed hiatus, and they have come with a new album titled “Rebirth.”

Green Day’s latest album is marking exactly that for the band as they rise again to provide fans with a different, meaningful rock. The album will feature 12 songs with no singles nor any other surprises that people used to get from their oldest albums. Recorded in a tiny apartment, Rebirth promises to capture their essence of rebellious yet meaningful songs.
