On Tuesday, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles revealed the price for the new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: $84,995. The car launches in fall, and customers will enjoy the $1 promotion for extra muscle features.

The muscle car debuted at the New York International Auto Show. It is the fastest V8-powered production car ever, hitting the 840 horsepower mark and beating current iterations of the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Shelby GT, and Porsche 918.

According to the automaker, only 3,00o Demons will be manufactured this year for U.S. drivers and an additional 300 for Canadian thrill-seekers. There is no info yet on how to get your hands on one of these new Challengers, but Fiat Chrysler could make that info available soon.

The Demon’s horsepower ranges from 808 to 840

It comes, as expected, in a standard blazing red color with black undertones in its paint job. For $84,995, drivers will get the vanilla Demon but add $1 to that check, and you will get the Demon Crate that unlocks the full 840 horsepower the car can deliver.

Performance-wise, the new Dodge hot rod can go from 0 to 60 mph in a reported 2.3 seconds, and it can destroy the current quarter of a mile record in just 9.65 seconds at 140 mph. This is all possible thanks to the signature 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine.

The SRT Challenger Demon also breaks records in other aspects, like being the first production car ever to include front-wheel lift as an option, delivering the highest g-force acceleration (1.8 g), and being the overall fastest production car ever made.

Chrysler’s $1 deals

The Demon Crate is valued at more than $6,000, but for $1 owners will get a serialized package of tools that includes two narrow, front-runner drag wheels, a replacement instrument panel with high-octane button, a conical performance air filter, and more.

Dodge’s Demon is a single-seat car for optimal performance and neck-breaking speeds, but for an extra $1 drivers can add a passenger seat in cloth, while another $1 will give them a rear seat in either cloth or leather. These additions, though, will also add weight to the car and slow it down.

There are several other $1 options, but in the end, only 3,000 people will get behind the wheel of a Dodge SRT Challenger Demon this year in the U.S. First orders start this summer and ship during the fall.
