Apple iPhone 7 Release Date suggests 256GB Mega Storage option

Apple iPhone 7 is much expected by enthusiasts around the world. After the company’s event in March, it is clear the we will see the new iterations of the iPhone this coming September.

Last year’s 6S and 6S Plus were released by Apple on September 9th and we expect to see the new iPhone being unveiled just about then this year. But since the 9th doesn’t fall on a Tuesday or Wednesday, as Apple prefers, you will probably see the iPhone 7 line of devices released in between September, 6th and 14th.

The upcoming iPhone will be available in two variants, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The Plus sized version of the phone will exclusively house a twin-camera setup at the rear, instead of the traditional single lens setup. These lenses were initially being devised by Sony but are now being provided to Apple primarily by LG, on account of Sony’s delay in meeting with Apple’s demands.

Furthermore, the new phones are also expected to sport a mega storage option of 256GB, with rumors suggesting that the storage solution may be a SanDisk NAND flash chip. The phones will also be available in storage options of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB to pick from.

Among other rumors are the fact that Apple might not keep the OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) exclusively available to the Plus sized make of the iPhone anymore, which means you will see it included in the iPhone 7.

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are also expected to bring a new set of features never seen before on an iPhone like wireless charging, a probable smart connector at the back of the phone and the omission of the 3.5mm headphone jack to use the lightning connector for headset connectivity, among others.
