AMC will air a preview special episode of The Walking Dead (TWD) in preparation for the show’s season 7 that will premiere on October 23. It will give fans a peek at what to expect from the first episode as well as the rest of the season.

Most importantly, the preview episode will drop hints about which beloved character is going to die just minutes into the new season at the hands of villain Negan and his barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat called Lucille.

For fans who missed the preview special episode during screening time, they can stream it live on amc.com or download the app via Google Play, iTunes, Xbox, Amazon and Netflix to watch it.

Tonight at 9/8pm CT on AMC

According to AMC, the special will give fans a preview of the upcoming season thanks to exclusive interviews with the cast, executive producers, and special guests, and behind-the-scenes moments.

Talking Dead presenter Chris Hardwick will host the episode and actress Yvette Nicole Brown, a huge fan of The Walking Dead, will be the guest of the show.

Fans have been speculating on who was Savior leader Negan’s victim in season 6 finale as it ended on a cliffhanger. Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron in the TV series, said that although the cherished character’s exit will be sad, the episode will be great and will leave audiences talking about it for a long, long time.

Fans believe Glenn will die

In the final episode of season 6, titled Last Day on Earth, Negan, and his Saviors catch, among others, series favorites Rick, Glenn, Daryl, Michonne, and Rosita.

As they killed a lot of Saviors, Negan tells the group someone will pay for it. He chooses one of them and proceeds to beat that someone to death while the rest scream in horror. Image source: AMC

A popular fan theory suggests that it could be Glenn, who has starred in several death-defying moments in the post-apocalyptic zombie horror drama. But they think that death has finally claimed the die-hard character as in Robert Kirkman’s novel Negan crushes his skull.

TWD’s spin-off series renewed

In related news, AMC also announced Fear the Walking Dead, both a spin-off and a prequel TV series to TWD, was renewed for a 16-episode third season to air in 2017.

The show, which debuted last year, follows a different set of characters created by Robert Kirkman. The first season, consisting of six episodes, aired in 2015. Its second season, of 15 episodes, premiered on April 10 and is set to return on August 21 for the second half.
