Gaming company Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI) will announce its second quarter financial results after market close today. Analysts expect the company to show earnings of $0.41 per share and revenue of $1.44 billion.

Activision Blizzard is one of the largest gaming companies in the world. It develops and publishes online, PC, video game console, handheld, mobile and tablet games mainly through Activision Publishing, Inc. and Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.

Back at the Comic-Con, the company said the earnings report would launch on August 4. Activision Blizzard already counts with successful franchises like ‘Star Craft’ and ‘Diablo’, and the company expanded its market with ‘HearthStone’ which is extremely popular among both casual and hardcore gamers.

EPS has grown 28.90% during the last five-year, with a 5.90% increase solely in 2016. Next year growth is expected to be about 14.93%, with a long-term vision of 21.94% in five years.

Activision Blizzard revenue history and expectations

In May 2016, Activision Blizzard announced surprise earnings for the last quarter with $908 million in revenue in comparison to the expected $812 million. It came as major news because in the previous quarter the company had posted in February 2016 a below par $2.12 billion in revenue, slightly off the awaited $2.2 billion.

But in the two before that, the company surpassed expectations with $1.04 billion (against $951 million) in November 2015 and $759 millions (against $665 million) in August 2015.

Since last earnings back in May, the company added about 14.8 percent in value to the $34.91 share price at that time, which analysts expect to go further up after Activision Blizzard announces on Thursday its second-quarter financial results. The gaming developer could also collect earnings of $0.41 per share and revenue of $1.44 billion today.

Several research analysts recently issued reports on ATVI shares. Four of them rated the stock with a hold rating and eighteen published a buy rating to the stock. So Activision Blizzard presently an average rating of “Buy” and a price target between $34.00 and $42.00, $40.53 on average.
