Leading actors for the upcoming Fast 8 movie from the Fast & Furious franchise Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel had a bit of a quarrel through Instagram. Rumors say both celebrities clashed on set many times. Image Source: EW

In the morning of this Thursday, August 11, the action film star Vin Diesel posted a video to his Instagram account promising fans to clarify the situation surrounding co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Jhonson and his derogative words about the “Fast 8” male cast.

The “Fast and Furious” main lead expressed his happiness as filming of the latest title in the saga wrapped up. He was mostly overjoyed for the fact that he will get to see his family again “after being on set since literally Christmas.” Addressing the controversy sparked by Johnson, Diesel told fans to “give me a second and I will tell you everything. Everything.”

A quick recap of the events

Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. “The Rock” posted a picture of a scene from the upcoming “Fast 8” film on his Instagram account, praising the work of the cast and crew in a celebratory manner as he finished shooting his scenes this week. However, the text description of the post had some aggressive undertones specifically directed at his male co-stars.

My FINAL WEEK of shooting #FastAndFurious. There's no greatness ever achieved alone.. it's always a team effort. We promised an epic prison break out for you guys and we delivered. HUGE THANK YOU to my ohana (family) stunt coordinator JJ Perry and his bad ass fearless stunt team – as well as my cousin and incredible stunt double @samoanstuntman. Thank you team for the willingness to "die hard" and drop your blood & sweat daily for our movie. #MyStuntBrothers #Loco4Life You guys reading this know how much I believe in the idea of TEAM EFFORT. That means respecting every person, their time and their value when they step on to my set or partner with our production company. And like with any team – that's a family – there's gonna be conflict. Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs. To me, conflict can be a good thing, when its followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it. At the end of the day me and #F8 co-stars all agree on the most important thing: Delivering an incredible movie to the world. #Fast8 #IcemanCometh #FamilyGrowth

The WrestleMania star had nothing but love for the studio, the crew, and his female co-stars, but when it came to the men of the film, he categorized some of them as “chicken sh*t” and “candy asses”. Strong speculation followed to narrow down who had managed to get Johnson’s blood to its boiling point.

Vin Diesel is reportedly at the receiving end of the slam

After quickly reviewing the male lineup of the film, some usual suspects arose and other innocents were discarded. Out of all of them, Vin Diesel was the most strong-sounding name for his alleged diva track record and the matching nature of The Rock’s allegations.

Confirmation of said suspicions came at the hands of some cast members who quickly sided with Vin Diesel. Tyrese Gibson, who joined the franchise on its second installment, was the first one to speak out in an Instagram post also published earlier today.

Spreading love always….. without saying I've had too many moments to counts, too many heart too hearts, we've celebrated in too many countries, too many exchanges, too many play dates with our angels…… Our brotherhood and every moment has inspired me to be a better man and father…. So much strength to pull from….. I'm so fucking proud to call you my family and my brother…. even now I'm learning so much about sitting still and being centered in the mist of all of this unexpected energy……. I've always said that if ONLY people knew how hard you work to protect this franchise and characters, minds would be blown…… The fans around the world who continue to show UP for us are just all around amazing…… And if no one else will jump out there and stand up I will – You're my brother for life let's keep it positive and keep rockin this thing…… My proudest post…… #FastFamily #F8 #PaulWeStillMissYouEveryday

The actor and singer wrote a lengthy text description of his experience as part of “The Fast and the Furious” saga, calling Diesel his family and his brother.

The rapper and actor Ludacris went down a more subtle route, simply posting a picture tagged #tbt of the “Fast & Furious” cast, the fourth title of the series. In the picture, Vin Diesel appears center front while The Rock is obviously absent since he was not a part of the “Fast Family” until the next film.

Diesel’s response follows a post made by Dwayne Johnson earlier this Wednesday, in which he further added to the feud, except in a more conciliatory tone this time. “The Rock” praised the cast and crew once again, noting that great things can come as a result of differences and conflict if they are addressed and resolved in a healthy manner.
