U.S., Anaheim, Calif. – Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was revealed this Saturday during the PlayStation Experience fan conference. The classic pit-fight video game will return with characters from Street Fighter and Mega Man against the favorite superheroes from the Marvel Universe.

The debut trailer showed an epic battle between Captain Marvel and Iron Man against Mega Man X and Ryu.

The game will launch late 2017, and it will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Fans got the first look of its gameplay at the Capcom Cup during the PS 4 convention in Anaheim, California.

While it arrives, fans can download the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on the PlayStation Store as of December 3. The game will then be released for Xbox One and PC in March 2017.

Infinite features Marvel’s Infinity Stones

The five stones of the power of the Marvel multiverse give players different boosts based on its elements: space, time, reality, soul, and mind.

These stones are an ongoing plot in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.  The third Avengers movie, due to 2018, will deal with the villain Thanos, an intergalactic emperor who is collecting the stones across the universe.

Fans can enjoy the bonus abilities in both single-player and online multiplayer modes, where heroes and villains clash in a “timeless struggle set in the Marvel and Capcom universes.”

The storyline answers why the characters are fighting each other, while the game’s roster has the iconic characters of both sides as they team up to defeat a new and powerful villain.

The game will have 2v2 instead of the traditional 3v3

Capcom vs. Marvel: Infinite is a new crossover clash where the layers of both franchises engage in 2 versus two team battles.

Each player may choose one of the six Infinity Stones to influence the outcome of the fight. Also, each stone will customize the character with unique abilities and game-changing effects.

The single-player campaign will follow the hero vs. villain team up as well as the origins of the new crossover universe. In addition to the single player content, players can improve their skills in several available single player modes, including Training, Mission, and arcade modes.

The multiplayer features include ranked and casual matches, global leaderboards, and online lobbies with a spectator mode to check out other people’s battles. Lastly, Unreal Engine 4 technology will handle the graphics of the fighting title.
