Activision released the final trailer for this new version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare remastered on September 29. The trailer shows how Call of Duty 4 was upgraded to the new visual engine used in Infinite Warfare. The game will feature the original campaign and ten multiplayer maps to fight in different game modes.

The campaign will follow the original scenarios. Players will control the Sergeant John “Soap” Mac Tavish, Sergeant Paul Jackson and Captain John Prince on their storylines. The game will take players into popular U.S. and Russian locations.

This new version features HDR graphics running at 60 fps for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The company also upgraded the game’s soundtrack and sound effects to modern standards. The trailer confirmed Activision planned to release six more multiplayer maps in December to complete the original sixteen maps of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Activision confirmed that old save files from the original game will not be compatible with this new version. However, all the weapons, game modes and perks, so gamers will not have to start completely from scratch.

The company also mentioned they would have dedicated servers only for Modern Warfare Remastered to eliminate latency issues. These servers will begin beta testing in October. One month before the game hits stores.

Gamestop has already confirmed people who pre-order Infinite Warfare will obtain access to the full campaign of Modern Warfare Remastered for free on its release day. The game costs $99.99.

Also, pre-ordering will give users a VIP access to the beta test Activision announced for October 8th and 15th. People who decide to buy the game at Amazon or other retailers will not enjoy this promotion.

However, PlayStation 4 owners will be the only ones to enjoy the first beta weekend of October 8th and 9th. Sony also confirmed they planned to release the bonus Modern Warfare campaign early on the PlayStation 4 system.

Currently, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered is only available alongside the Infinite Warfare version. However, developers mentioned that in the future, people would be able to purchase the games separately. Lastly, the release date for Modern Warfare Remastered is on the same day that Infinite Warfare, November 7th.
